If
you’d like to learn more about horses, riding,
and horse care, our group horsemanship
classes are for you. Private lessons are also
available.
Beginner
Program (8 lesson package)
This program is designed to acquaint the novice
horse enthusiast with basic riding techniques and horse
care. Participants will learn how to saddle, handle
and control horses safely and effectively, both on the
ground and mounted. Learn how the horse thinks and reacts.
Develop correct posture and movement with the
horse at a walk, jog and lope. This course is
an absolute must for developing a solid foundation from
which to springboard into more advanced horsemanship.
Intermediate
Program (8 lesson package)
This program is best suited for riders who have completed
the Beginner Course or its equivalent. Goals are
to refine equitation skills (seat, hand, leg and body
cues) in order to perform specific tasks: smooth gait
transition, backing up, proper leads, etc. A trail
course will provide challenges for both horse and rider.
