Dale Guest Ranch would like to help you plan your groups'
most memorable picnic ever. Look forward to a relaxing
gathering complete with a full menu cookout, numerous
activities and a beautiful setting - all hosted by our
friendly, experienced staff.
Be it a sizzling steak, country potatoes, pipin' hot cowboy
beans or crisp cool watermelon, all ranch cookin' is prepared
fresh and hearty. Enjoy your meal among wide, grassy
lawns covered with shade trees sloping gently to the sparkling
waters of the Big Thomspon river.
Add to the fun by exploring our scenic foothills on horseback,
touring the ranch on a hayride or even fishing for that
elusive rainbow trout on Sylvan Dale's pristine private
waters.
Colorado's abundant sunshine, low humidity, and crisp
mountain air compliment the down-home hospitality found
at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch. We have plenty of space
for groups of 100 to 1500 so rest easy, we'll take care
of the rest!

- SEASONS
Picnic outings can be enjoyed at Sylvan Dale most of the year
(weather permitting), usually April through September. Bookings start a year
in advance so reserve early for best availability.
During our summer season, picnic times are available on
Saturday and Sunday.
Select from the following time slots:
Saturdays: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, or 4:00 pm to 9:00
pm;
Sundays: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

- PICNIC
FACILITIES Two beautiful areas to choose from:
Daddy J near the river bend, and Heart-J
by the ponds and swimming pool.
- MENUS
AND RATES Picnic rates include food and beverages.
Alcoholic beverages must be supplied by the Ranch. Activities
extra (see below)
- BEVERAGES
At your request, we provide wine/beer or full bar
service for your event. We feature the best from Colorado
wineries and breweries. Your choice of wines,
beers and liquors may also be ordered in advance.
Under state law, all alcohol services and products
must be arranged through Sylvan Dale.
- LOCATION
AND DIRECTIONS: 1 hour and 15 minutes from Denver
International Airport. In the foothills seven
miles west of Loveland, Colorado, on US Highway 34,
18 miles east of Estes Park, 20 miles from Rocky Mountain
National Park. Altitude is between 5,200 and
7,000 feet, on 3,200 acres.

For
either Heart-J or Daddy-J picnic outings, you can add
to the fun by planning the following activities into
your day. Reservations are necessary.
- HORSEBACK
RIDING Explore 3,200 scenic acres of Rocky Mountain
foothills on horseback! For picnics, there is
a 20% discount on company paid rides with 14 days
advanced notice and confirmation of rider numbers.
Group and individual arrangements can be made
through the Ranch office.
Arena Rides.
(For children under seven). Arena rides can
be arranged by your company. Horses will
be led by an experienced wrangler in an enclosed area.
About 8 to 10 children can ride a horse each hour.
- FISHING
Children and adults alike can enjoy a real fishing
experience at Sylvan Dale’s stocked trout ponds.
Our fishing attendants will be on hand for
your assistance. They will provide poles and
bait (or bring your own) and will clean and ice your
catch! If you want to plan a fishing derby,
talk to us! Catch and Release fishing by prior arrangement
only.

HAYRIDES
Let us take
your group on a ranch tour with our Belgian draft
horses, or if you prefer, a tractor-drawn
hayride.
